Please note: This role is based in Milton Keynes and will involve some travel to both Kettering and Hemel Hempstead.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join this well-respected financial services organisation in their marketing department on a fixed-term contract of six to twelve months. The role is a maternity cover and you must be able to commit to this time frame. Should the current incumbent decide not to return to work after her maternity leave, a permanent role may become available.
The role itself is a mixture of business development and marketing. You will report to the Business Development Manager who is responsible for winning business externally and you will manage the internal processes and logistics around this. Your responsibilities will roughly be 50% pitch book management (input, design, editing, logistics of pitches, training and coaching of senior staff for presentations) and 50% marketing (including CRM – they use InterAction, and event management).
To be considered for this role, you must have substantial previous experience in a similar position which has included the management of pitch book presentations. It is therefore likely that you will come from a financial services or accountancy background although this is not essential. You will, however, be a graduate and either have or be working towards the CRM Advanced Certificate. In addition, as you will liaise daily with senior level staff, you will be credible, suitably presented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Hours are 7.5 per day. The department tends to start around 8.30am, but you will be expected to be flexible around your hours, particular when approaching a deadline. Salary is £32,000 - £35,000 per annum plus benefits.
